  • NITI Aayog has ranked Rajasthan at first place among states in water conversation as it registered a significant increase in the level of groundwater.
  • The NITI Aayog in its composite water resources management report has appreciated the efforts made by Rajasthan government and people participation in conservation of surface water.
  • The state has restored 80% irrigation potential of identified bodies largely through community managed ponds and tanks.
