- The World Day for Audiovisual Heritage is observed every year on 27th October.
- This commemorative day was chosen by UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in 2005 to raise awareness about the significance and preservation risks of recorded sound and audio-visual documents (films, sound and video recordings, radio and television programmes).
- " Discover, remember and share " is the theme of this year's celebration of the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage.
