World Para-Swimming Championship

  • Visually impaired swimmer Kanchanmala Pande of Nagpur became the first Indian to win gold in at the World Para-Swimming Championships in Mexico.
  • Pande, who works with Reserve Bank of India (RBI), stood first in the in 200 meters medley event in S-11 category.
  • She was chosen to represent India in the championships at the back of her outstanding performance in the IDM Berlin Para-Swimming Championships on July.
