- Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) released the World’s military spending report for the year 2018.
- According to a new report overall global military spending last year rose up 2.6 per cent from the previous year.
- The five biggest spenders in 2018 were the United States, China, Saudi Arabia, India and France.
- US increased for the first time since 2010 and that of China went up for the 24th consecutive year.
