- India secured 3rd place in the Asia Power Index 2025 released by the Lowy Institute (Australia).
- The Index ranked 27 countries/territories using 131 indicators across eight areas, such as military capability, economic capability and diplomatic influence.
- India scored 40 out of 100, showing a 2% improvement and entered the “major power” category for the first time.
- The United States ranked first with 81.7, followed by China with 73.7.
