- The Trump administration in US has removed India and Switzerland from its Currency Monitoring list of major trading partners.
- China, Germany, Japan, South Korea still remain in that list.
- India was placed in that list in 2018.
- It had resulted in decline in scale and frequency of foreign exchange purchases in India in 2018.
