- The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) launched the ‘Garbage Dumping Festival’ campaign.
- Civic marshals deliberately dumped garbage outside the houses of habitual litterers to raise awareness and promote cleaner neighbourhoods.
- The campaign began in Banashankari and targeted 218 households, collecting fines worth Rs 2.8 lakh.
- The Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited (BSWML) plans to install 65 waste kiosks across Bengaluru to facilitate free segregated waste disposal and reduce garbage black spots.
