The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) launched the ‘Garbage Dumping Festival’ campaign.
Civic marshals deliberately dumped garbage outside the houses of habitual litterers to raise awareness and promote cleaner neighbourhoods.
The campaign began in Banashankari and targeted 218 households, collecting fines worth Rs 2.8 lakh.
The Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited (BSWML) plans to install 65 waste kiosks across Bengaluru to facilitate free segregated waste disposal and reduce garbage black spots.
