- Amul is an Indian dairy cooperative society based at Anand in Gujarat.
- Amul was founded by Tribhuvandas Patel under the guidance of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in 1946.
- Amul spurred India's White Revolution.
- The White Revolution or Operation Flood was launched in 1970.
- It made the country the world's largest producer of milk and milk products.
