- L&T is to set up India's largest green hydrogen plant at the Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL), Panipat, Haryana
- The project will operate on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis.
- It will be supplying 10,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually to IOCL for 25 years.
- The initiative is aligned with the Centre’s National Green Hydrogen Mission.
- And it is designed to decarbonise IOCL’s refinery operations.
- The plant will operate around the clock using renewable power.
- And it features the high-pressure alkaline electrolysers manufactured by L&T Electrolysers Ltd at its Hazira facility in Gujarat.
- The project is a significant step towards building a self-reliant and low-carbon industrial ecosystem in India.
