India’s Tourism Vision 2029

  • The Government of India plans to develop fifty new world-class tourism destinations by 2029.
  • Destinations will include Kashmir’s snow-capped valleys, Kerala’s backwaters, Gujarat’s coasts, and Assam’s hills.
  • Each state and union territory is expected to have at least one flagship destination under the project.
  • The initiative will follow a uniform development framework designed by the central government to ensure infrastructure and sustainability standards.
