- The Union Commerce Minister, Suresh Prabhu has released a report on Industrial Park Rating System.
- The report was prepared by the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
- It would help to increase the competitiveness of industries and promotion of the manufacturing sector as it would assess the parks against global standards.
- The system would assess 200 such parks on several parameters such as sewage effluent and treatment; and water treatment.
