- India and the United States signed an Investment Incentive Agreement (IIA) at Tokyo, Japan.
- This supersedes the Investment Incentive Agreement signed between both the countries in the year 1997.
- The Agreement is the legal requirement for Development Finance Corporation, to continue providing investment support in India.
