- Once approved, it will become the first site from Chhattisgarh to receive UNESCO World Heritage status.
- The park covers an area of about 200 square kilometres and lies in the Eastern Ghats–Central Indian highlands region.
- It is well known for the Tirathgarh Waterfall, limestone caves, dense forests, and rich biodiversity.
