- L. Ganesan, Governor of Nagaland and former BJP vice-president, passed away in Chennai.
- He earlier served as Governor of Manipur and held additional charge as Governor of West Bengal (WB).
- He played a key role in the BJP’s growth in TN and was elected to the Rajya Sabha from MP.
- He also served as editor of Ore Naadu and founded Pottramarai to support Tamil scholars.
