- Prime Minister inaugurated the 1st phase of Mahakaleshwar Corridor, constructed in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain.
- The Mahakal corridor was renamed as Mahakal Lok.
- In the second phase, Buildings in Maharajwada will be redeveloped and connected to the Mahakal temple campus.
- A heritage Dharamshala and Kumbh museum will also be built.
- The temple in its present form was built by the Maratha general Ranoji Shinde in 1734 CE.
