- The Chhattisgarh Forest Department has started six “hornbill restaurants” in Udanti Sitanadi Tiger Reserve for the Malabar Pied Hornbill.
- The Malabar Pied Hornbill (Anthracoceros coronatus), also called the lesser pied hornbill.
- It is found in the Western Ghats, north-eastern Himalayan foothills, Satpua Hills, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
- It is mainly frugivorous and is listed as Near Threatened by the IUCN.
