- Uttar Pradesh government has launched ‘Mukhya mantri SamoohikVivaah Yojana’, a mass marriage scheme.
- UP's state social welfare department will conduct the mass marriages .
- The parents of beneficiary brides under the scheme must be residents of Uttar Pradesh and must belong to Below Poverty Line (BPL).
