Tamil Nadu has extended the Naan Mudhalvan programme to Nursing and Allied Health Sciences to improve healthcare employability.
Under the new initiative, students will receive specialised training in communication skills and digital skills, which are essential in modern hospital environments.
The program aims to help students interact effectively with doctors and patients, and also enhance opportunities abroad, as Tamil Nadu is a major medical tourism hub.
TNSDC also launched TN Skill Registry, a free portal where trained students can upload profiles; registered employers can view them and contact candidates with their consent.
