- The Government of India has announced that it will join hands with Portugal to set up maritime museum near ancient Harappans civilization at Lothal in Gujarat.
- It will be modelled on the Navy museum at Lisbon, Portugal and administered by the Portuguese Navy.
- The project will be implemented by under Sagarmala programme with the support of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Indian Navy and Gujarat State government.
