President Ram Nath Kovind has released the The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2019 for Institutes and Universities.
NIRF was approved and launched by Minister of Human Resource Development on 29th September 2015.
The First rank list was released in 2016.
The parameters of ranking broadly cover Teaching, Learning and Resources, Research and Professional Practices, Graduation Outcomes, Outreach and Inclusivity and Perception.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, topped the overall national ranking of higher institutes.
