Partners for Multilateralism

India attended the inaugural Partners for Multilateralism (P4M) Summit held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
P4M is a coalition of middle powers, regional organisations and developing countries aimed at strengthening multilateral cooperation.
European Union (EU), Brazil, Canada and Kenya are the founding initiators; India, Australia and Barbados joined as initial co-sponsors and participants.
The grouping seeks reforms in the United Nations (UN) and global financial institutions to improve representation and effectiveness.
It focuses on common global issues such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), climate change, pandemics, supply-chain resilience and digital transformation.
