Policy for Paid Menstrual Leave – Karnataka

  • Karnataka has become the first state in India to grant one day of paid menstrual leave per month for women employees.
  • The policy covers both government and private sector employees, amounting to 12 days of leave per year.
  • Odisha and Bihar have similar policies only for government employees, while Kerala has implemented it in universities.
