- Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi approved the re-allocation of the portfolios.
- The Electricity and Non-Conventional Energy Development portfolio has been allocated to Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu.
- The subjects of Prohibition and Excise, Molasses, have been assigned to Housing and Urban Development Minister S Muthusamy.
- They both assume these new portfolios in addition to their existing responsibilities.
- The Minister Senthil Balaji would continue as a Minister without portfolio.
