• Former petroleum minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will be appointed as interim prime minister of Pakistan until Shahbaz Sharif, the brother of ousted PM Nawaz Sharif, can be elected to parliament and take over as PM.
• He has becoming the interim leader of the country after Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by the Supreme Court over the Panama Papers scandal.
