  • The Special Campaign 5.0 was launched by the Government of India with the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances as the nodal department.
  • The campaign aimed to institutionalize cleanliness drives and reduce pendency in government offices across the country.
  • As of 24th October 2025, 4.95 lakh cleanliness campaign sites were covered under the Swachhata (cleanliness) campaign.
  • Ministries and Departments freed 130.54 lakh square feet of office space and earned Rs. 377.8 crore revenue through scrap disposal.
  • A total of 5.45 lakh public grievance cases were redressed, and 17.48 lakh physical files were reviewed, out of which 7.25 lakh files were weeded out.
  • The campaign reviewed 12.99 lakh electronic files and gained significant social media traction with over 13,000 tweets, 200 infographics, and a reach of 36.7 million people.
