- Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has released the book titled Spices Statistics at a Glance 2021.
- The book is a compendium of all the spices statistics like area, production, productivity, export, import, price, and value of the output of various spices produced in the country.
- The book has been published by the Directorate of Arecanut and Spices Development.
- The book highlights the growth achieved in the spices sector during the last seven years.
- Spices production in the Country has grown from over 67 lakh tonnes in 2014-15 to over 106 lakh tonnes in 2020-21 with an annual growth rate of 7.9 percent.
