- The 25th Summer Deaflympics 2025 was held in Tokyo, Japan.
- The event was organized by the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD), also called Comité International des Sports des Sourds (CISS).
- Ukraine topped the medal tally with 100 medals (32 gold, 39 silvers, 29 bronze).
- India achieved its best-ever rank at 6th place with 20 medals (9 gold, 7 silvers, 4 bronze).
- Indian shooters won 16 out of 20 medals.
- The medal design, themed “Spreading Our Wings”.
- The next edition will be the 2027 Winter Deaflympics in Innsbruck, Austria.
