Swachh Vayu Sarvekshan Awards 2026

The 5th Swachh Vayu Sarvekshan Awards 2026 were conferred during Swachh Vayu Diwas 2026, recognising the best-performing cities and wards under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP).
Lucknow ranked first among cities with a population above 10 lakhs, followed by Indore and Jabalpur.
Rourkela (Odisha) topped the 3–10 lakh category, while Kalinganagar (Odisha) topped the below 3 lakh categories.
The survey covers 130 NCAP cities and assesses measures such as road-dust control, waste management and vehicular/industrial emissions.
In 2025–26, 108 of 130 cities recorded reduced Particulate Matter 10 (PM10) levels; 26 cities achieved over 40% reduction.
