- The Tamil Nadu Technical Textiles Mission has begun with a five-year plan and a budget of ₹15 crore.
- Entrepreneurs can get guidance from approved consultants, with reimbursement of ₹50 lakh or 50 % of the consultation fee.
- Several schemes from the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and the Ministry of Textiles support investments in technical textiles.
- The State will organise a technical textile expo in Coimbatore once every two years and will launch a trade facilitation portal to link manufacturers and buyers.
- Subsidy will be given to three or four companies for research and development in technical textiles.
- The Department plans to facilitate the setting up of 24 industrial units in technical textiles with a total investment of ₹480 crore.
