- Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami announced that the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department will launch a TV channel Thirukkovil.
- A traditional paddy varieties protection center will be started in Needamangalam in Thiruvarur District.
- The campus of the Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education will be named as Dr. J. Jayalalithaa campus to honour her contribution to enrolment of students in higher education in the State.
- A statue of Jayalalithaa will also be installed on the campus.
- The CM also said that a statue of Vellaiya Thevan, the lieutenant of Veerpandiaya Kattabomman will be installed at the mani mandapam in Vallanadu, Thoothukudi district.
- The CM said a pharmaceutical park will be created at the industrial park in Cheyyaru in Tiruvannamalai district.
- The CM said thuppuravu paniyalargal (conservancy workers) will hereafter be called thooymai paniyalargal (cleanliness workers), the long pending demand of the workforce.
- He said that the Miyawaki method of afforestation, a Japanese technique, would be used to expand the green cover in unused open spaces in urban areas.
