- It is prepared and published by the Central TB Division, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
- 24.04 lakh notified TB patients in 2019 in India, which is a 14% increase from 2018.
- The country is achieving near-complete on-line notification of TB patients through the NIKSHAY system.
- The Government of India renamed the ‘National Tuberculosis Control Program’ to the ‘National Tuberculosis Elimination Program’.
- It is with a focus on eliminating Tuberculosis (TB) from the country by 2025
- In the larger state category, Gujarat was awarded as the best-performing state followed by Andhra Pradesh and Himanchal Pradesh at 2nd and 3rd place.
