- The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has successfully isolated and cultured the UK- variant of Coronavirus strain.
- ICMR also informed that no other country has yet reported the successful culture and isolation of the new Coronavirus strain.
- It had first originated in the United Kingdom.
