  • There are five species of rhinos - Greater One-Horned, Black, White, Javan, and Sumatran.
  • The Greater One-Horned rhino is found mainly in India and Nepal with a population of over 4,000.
  • Rhino species like the Black, Javan, and Sumatran are critically endangered due to poaching and habitat loss.
  • Kaziranga National Park in Assam hosts the world’s largest population of Greater One-Horned rhinos.
